How to use Tarot Cards to Help You in your Life and Business

Learning to read tarot cards for yourself can be a very valuable skill in both life and business. It is important to understand how Tarot Cards can be used to help you and also what their limitations are.

There are three main areas in life and business where using Tarot Cards can be very beneficial to you.

These are:
1) Using the information about the different Personality Archetypes to better understand yourself and others.
2) Personal Growth, including developing Intuition and Creativity, as well as meditation skills and
3) Exploring potential Future Outcomes and using the cards for Empowered Decision Making.

Personality Archetypes

There are several very different personalities to be found in the Major Arcana and in the Court Cards of the four suits. We have additional character traits and personality types if we look at reversed cards.

Working with or for an authoritarian, rule-driven, obsessive Emperor type person will be very different from the experience with a gentle, spontaneous, fun-loving, abundant Empress. A High Priestess type person is likely to be very secretive and may be quite manipulative. You really would not want to experience working for a Devil personality!

From the four suits of Cups, Wands, Pentacles and Swords, we have four very different types of people. These range from the very emotional and sensitive Creatives (Cups) to the action-oriented, Go-Getters (Wands) to the logical Communicators (Swords) and the practical Organisers (Pentacles), with infinite combinations in between.

Tarot cards can be very useful for making sure that you have the right people doing the right jobs, so that they are working to their strengths.

Understanding the strengths and weaknesses of these archetypes can give you great insight into the basic character traits of the people in your work and personal life.

It can also be hugely valuable to observe how they are acting and behaving in the moment and how they are likely to react in different situations and with different people.

If you are using Tarot Cards for understanding people, then you can confirm what you see by the use of other things such as Astrology, Name Analysis and Numerology and/or other conventional personality assessment systems.

Personal Growth

When used for Personal Growth, Tarot cards can be a useful bridge in personal coaching. You can ask yourself very precise questions about yourself, your motivations, your fears and your current situation.

The more specific you can be with any questions you are asking, the more insightful the cards can be in helping you to move forward in your life.

You can take a deep breath, relax and tap into your own intuition and inner wisdom, so you can “know” with laser sharp accuracy when something is right or wrong for you.

By using Tarot Cards to tap into your Intuition, you can help confirm your own feelings as to what the correct next steps are for you.

Through the cards you can see your true thoughts, feeling, emotions, fears, worries, hopes, wishes and actions or non actions that you may or may not be taking towards your problems or goals.

Tarot can be very revealing as to what might be stopping you from being as successful as you would like with a project or a goal.

It will reveal whether it is something that is out side of you and so out of your control, or whether it is something within you.

There may be beliefs about yourself or the world lurking under the surface, which are unhelpful. Tarot cards are very good at revealing those blocks, both internal and external. The biggest blocks can be in allowing success, money, happiness and love to flow into your life.
.
Very often it will also show the ways to overcome the blocks.

Future Outcomes and Empowered Decision Making

A tarot card reading will give you the general outcome of the ways matters are progressing, IF you don’t make any changes to the way you are thinking, feeling or acting – and the cards assume you don’t make any changes.

There is very little in life that could be classed as “fixed.” We all have free will in our choices, decisions and actions. Sometimes things may hit you unexpectedly, however you can always decide how you react to those.

If the outcome is looking rather challenging, you have the opportunity to make changes, so that you can steer your life in a more positive direction.

See some light at the end of the tunnel, when all looks dark, bleak and hopeless around you. It can bring some hope, optimism and encouragement to your life. Often that will be enough to open up your own inner resources such as creativity, problem solving, intuition and the ability to notice a different way forward.

You can consider an “alternate future” to the one which is currently unfolding and make better, more informed choices for yourself. You can explore various options to create the future you desire, and look at ways of enabling you to get to where you really want to go.

You can then make the most informed choices and decisions, as the cards can make you aware of potential positives and challenges in each path. Tarot cards cannot make any decisions for you.

What Tarot can’t do for you

Tarot does not tell you categorically what is going to happen in your life, as you have ultimate control over the direction of our life.

It cannot give you specific advice and it cannot make decisions for you. It cannot “make” you do anything.

It does not offer you fixed or unchangeable things and it is very unlikely to predict death, doom and destruction and other things you can’t do anything about, apart from worry about their arrival.

There is nothing to be scared of, as it is purely a deck of picture cards. As with anything the power lies in the interpretation and the lofty status that is often given to the person doing the interpretation.

It is totally subjective and everyone will see the cards in a different way.

Tarot has nothing to do with any religion, strange cult, devil worshipping, witchcraft, voodoo or any other weird and wacky thing.

You do not have to have any special skills and you do not need to be a natural clairvoyant, medium or psychic to be able to work with the cards.

Conclusion

By using the cards in these different ways, or combined together, a deck of Tarot cards becomes your friend and you have in your hands a very powerful tool for tapping into your powerful inner resources of self understanding, intuition, creativity and problem solving.

It is an amazing tool for fun and personal growth. Like anything it can be used for positive, wonderful things and empowerment or it can be used for negative, destructive dis-empowerment.

That choice lies with the person who is reading the cards. The listener also has the choice of how much or how little of what has been said they choose to take on board.

It is a fantastic opportunity to take control of your life and to make changes that need making, ahead of life making them for you.
